Meet The Physicians
Dr. Edward Moayyad, M.D.
Dr. Edward Moayyad established Kids’ Doc in 1988. He maintains active privileges at Medical Center of Arlington.
He received his Doctorate of Medicine degree in 1984 from the Universidad de Nuevo León in Monterrey, México. He completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in 1988.
Dr. Moayyad is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of Texas Medical Association, American Board of Pediatrics and the Tarrant County Medical Society. Since 2004, he as volunteered for the Hispanic Wellness Fair in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Mariam Saleem, M.D.
Dr. Saleem graduated from Medical school in 2001 from Pakistan. She did her residency training I Pediatrics at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics. She worked in Rio Grande City for 4 years. She worked at Rainbow Children’s Clinic for 5 years before joining Kids Doc Pediatrics in 2019. She is affiliated with Medical Center of Arlington as attending physician in the newborn nursery.
She lives with her husband and three sons in Grand Prairie. Her hobbies including cooking, painting and reading books.
Pediatrics is her passion and she hopes to continue to contribute in the health and happiness of children.
Dr. Shehla R. Shah, M.D.
Dr. Shehla Shah joined Kids’ Doc in 2004. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Fatima Jinnah Medical School in Pakistan in 1991. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2000.
She is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Association. She has volunteered for the Hispanic Wellness Fair in Fort Worth.
Currently, Dr. Shah lives in Fort Worth and enjoys spending time with her familiy and friends.
Dr. Maria C. Fischer, M.D., FAAP
Maria is a private pediatrician who developed an exercise and nutrition program to treat her and other private physicians' patients.
She has spoken at elementary schools, colleges, and hospitals, and most recently, her poster presentation of her results at The National Obesity Society Conference in Phoenix, Arizona last fall. She has also been featured on television including NBC5, Telemundo, and consulted for multiple newspaper and magazine articles regarding childhood obesity.
Dr. Fisher earned a medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She co-authored several articles, and is an active peer-reviewer for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has been a participant and sponsor inmany health fairs in the communiry.
